1601 Market Street is a 36-story, 704,000 square-foot building that is located at the heart of Center City between City Hall and the Suburban train station. Many of the major building systems were upgraded. The building was the first in Philadelphia to obtain the prestigious LEED Certification in 2010, and has further upgraded to LEED Silver since then. Through several sustainable infrastructure investments, the building has reduced its energy use by 26% and its water use by 10% between 2010 and 2014. These savings translate into lower operating expenses and therefore are for the financial benefit of our tenants. In 2014, an attractive glass façade was installed, adding new street presence to the building, enhanced retail and an expanded second floor office loft space with dramatic 19 foot ceilings. The building provides many on-site amenities including a APF Properties Conference Center, banks, brokerage services, child care center, newsstand, shoe shine and a FedEx drop box. The 1601 Market Street lobby has direct access to the SEPTA Concourse and its many shops, restaurants and a US Post Office, and the building is also steps from the 15th Street station for bus, trolley and regional rail service. The building boasts a stable credit tenant roster including KPMG, Radian, and the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau.
